MitchDiSinga gets ‘Hoisted’
FOR his latest single Hoisted, former APR member MitchDiSinga called on music industry veterans for their expertise.
The song features an all-star cast of musicians which includes: Kirk “Kirkledove” Bennett (drums), Dean Fraser (saxophone), Carol “Bowie” McLaughlin (keyboards), Mitchum “Khan” Chin (guitar), and Jason “Arthur” Welsh (bass).
Hoisted was released last month and is produced by Raw Vue Music and mixed by Delroy “Phatta” Pottinger.
“Both fans and industry insiders have given the song their thumbs up. The comments have been positive,” said MitchDiSinga.
“I am not surprised that this song is generating such a positive response. It has a nice, feel-good vibe and a message that many music lovers can relate to worldwide,” MitchDiSinga continued.
He said his love for marijuana was what inspired the song.
According to MitchDiSinga, his ability to adapt to the trends in music has kept him in the game all these years.
“My creativity, unique voice, and capability to adapt to the ever-changing music styles are what define me as an artiste. I have been on this solo journey since 2004,” he shared.
Along with Orville Thomas, Patrick Hylton, Leon Gilbert and Orand Rose-Green, MitchDiSinga (real name Roger Mitchell) formed APR in 1991. The members went their separate ways in 2003 after scoring hits with Missing You (with Beenie Man), On and On, and The Lion Sleeps Tonight.
To date MitchDiSinga has released two solo albums, Original Yardman (2009), Lucky (2016), as well as the EP Thinking Billions (2017).
Some of his solo recordings include Want No More, Give Me a Call, and Always Protect.
