Nyla-Jade Flemmings wins Observer Cutest Baby Photo Competition

Three-year-old Nyla-Jade Flemming won the Jamaica Observer’s Cutest Baby Photo Competition topping a field of 76 entries with 3,722 votes overall that earned her $100,000 cash and a three-night, four-day stay at Beaches Resorts.

Runners-up were Anthonique Holness, who received 1,792 votes, and Mason Brown with 1,626.

The competition saw 15,697 votes submitted to the newspaper by enthusiastic parents, guardians, relatives and friends of the children.

Chas E Ramson, the main sponsor of the competition, presented gift baskets to the top three.

The first round of voting produced the top 10, after which the top three were chosen from the second round of voting.

Observer Deputy Managing Director Natalie Chin thanked Chas E Ramson for partnering with the newspaper on the competition which was making its return after a two-year hiatus due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Chin also expressed appreciation to the newspaper’s readers for being “totally engaged in the competition, which is really a celebration of their children.”

Additionally, Chin said she expected that this year’s staging of the very popular competition will be bigger and better.

Anthonique Holness, who received 1,792 votes, is seen here in a family photo with her mom Tameka McCalla.
Mason Brown, who secured a runner-up spot with 1,626, is seen here in a family photo with his mom Michka Wallace.
