‘Whisper’ wins senior call-up after stellar schoolboy football campaign

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Kingston College standout Dujuan ‘Whisper’ Richards has been included in a 32-man squad of local-based players called up by Reggae Boyz Head Coach, Heimir Halgrimsson, set to camp at the University of the West Indies (UWI) for two days starting Tuesday January 17.

The 17-year-old enjoyed a stellar schoolboy campaign with the boys from North Street, netting 30 goals in the recently-concluded ISSA schoolboy competitions. He also shone last weekend for the urban area All-Manning team in their matchup against the rural area all-Dacosta side, grabbing a goal in the 34th minute.

The Reggae Boyz squad announced on Tuesday is completed by Kemar Foster, Ramone Howell, Ricardo Thomas, Peter McGregor, Trivante Stewart, Ky-Mani Campbell, Demario Phillips, Devonte Campbell, Jamoi Topey, Tafari Chambers, Shaquille Dyer, Sue-Lae McCalla, Alwayne Harvey, Odane Murray, Eric Edwards, Kimani Arbouine, Earl Simpson, Ajuma Johnson, Richard King, Dwayne Atkinson, Collin Anderson, Kyle Ming, Jeadine White, Gawain Austin, Oshane Staple, Colorado Murray, Jahshaun Anglin, Nicholas Hamilton, Okeemo Jones, Malachi Douglas and Jason Wright.
