VisuEats appoints Tanesha Westcarr as chief business development officer

South Florida-based software company visuEats Imagery Solutions has appointed business strategist Tanesha Westcarr as its chief business development officer.

Westcarr is the diaspora advisor to Jamaica’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Kamina Johnson Smith. She joins visuEats with over a decade of experience spanning the United Kingdom, the United States and the Caribbean, said the company in a press release.

“I am absolutely thrilled to have Tanesha join our team. Tanesha is a dynamic and strategic thinker and doer, who can translate insights into impact. With her extensive connections in the industry and acumen for business strategy and return on investments, we believe that Tanesha will help us to position visuEats as the premier end-to-end solution for restaurants and diners alike,” said Sophronia McKenzie, CEO of visuEats.

According to the release, visuEats began its search for a chief business development officer on the heels of introducing its Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to market at the beginning of October 2022. visuEats provides a turnkey solution for restaurants that desire to increase revenue, through menus and eye-catching product placements, enabling the menu items to (up)sell themselves.

Westcarr said she is excited about the opportunity to scale up service delivery, guided by visuEats’ mission to present restaurateurs and diners (visuEaters) with the best possible digital experience.

“This is indeed a new and exciting chapter for me. This role provides the perfect pathway for me to leverage my interest and expertise in business, culture, food and stakeholder engagement to firmly position visuEats in the marketplace,” asserted Westcarr.

Westcarr is also an entrepreneur, author, former columnist for the Huffington Post UK, and the Project and Event Manager at Birkbeck, University of London. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Global Politics and International Relations and a Master of Science in International Development.

Notably, she has copped the Governor General’s Achievement Award for Leadership in the Jamaican Diaspora, among other awards for entrepreneurship and community development.
