Plumber charged after allegedly breaking into home in St Ann
ST ANN, Jamaica – A plumber has been charged with house break-in with intent, malicious destruction of property and possession of house breaking implements in relation to an incident that occurred in Bridge View South, Discovery Bay in St Ann on Monday, February 2.
Charged is 26-year-old Joel Simms of St Christopher Crescent, Brown’s Town in the parish.
Reports are that about 6:45 pm, the complainant was at home when she heard a knocking on her front door. An alarm was raised and a search of the premises was conducted . During the search Simms was seen hiding in the flower garden.
He was detained by the security team and handed over to the police.
Following an investigation, Simms was charged on Wednesday, February 8 after a question and answer session in the presence of his attorney.
