KINGSTON Jamaica – Two well-taken goals, one early in the game and the other in time added on late in the second half, carried Humble Lion to a 2-1 win over Dunbeholden FC in their Jamaica Premier League second-round game played at Jamaica College on Monday evening.

Andrew Vanzie was involved in both goals scored by Humble Lion and saw them move into fourth place with 24 points while Dunbeholden FC are in sixth place with 19 points.

In the first game of the doubleheader, 10-man Vere United and Tivoli Gardens played out a 0-0 draw.

Vere United went down to 10 players in the 52nd minute after Alwin Strachan was sent off for hitting an opponent, who was on the ground at the time.

In the second game, Vanzie’s sublime freekick in the third minute beat the Dunbeholden goalkeeper into the top right-hand corner of the goal.

Shakeen Powell drew Dunbeholden FC level in the 51st minute when he finished off a good team move with a well-taken goal.

Humble Lion would take all three points however when Vanzie played through substitute Javon Smith who scored from close range a minute into time added.
