‘Devil’ charged with two counts of murder after Denham Town gun attack
A man has been charged with two counts of murder, shooting with intent, possession of prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition and making use of a firearm to commit a felony following an incident in his community on Tuesday, November 29, 2022.
Charged is 45-year-old Donovan Rowe, otherwise called ‘Chummy’ or ‘Devil’, a painter of Upper Oxford Street, Denham Town in Kingston.
Dead are 30-year-old Jevan Ferguson, otherwise called ‘Pim Pim’, of Upper Oxford Street and 28-year-old Lance Thompson, otherwise called ‘Bibi’ or ‘Jah Jah’ of Upper Rose Lane in the parish.
Reports are that about 9:40 am, Ferguson, Thompson and a woman were along Upper Oxford Street when Rowe and two other men alighted from a motor car and opened gunfire hitting both men. The woman escaped unhurt.
The police were summoned and the victims were transported to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
Rowe was apprehended and charged after a question and answer interview.
