La Lee to headline Hague show
TRELAWNY, Jamaica – Laa Lee is set to headline a slew of entertainers at the 66th staging of the annual Hague Agricultural and Industrial Show near Falmouth, Trelawny on Ash Wednesday, February 22.
La Lee, a crowd favourite, whose given name is Romario Ricketts, is known for songs such as Dirt Bounce, Bong Bing, Floating, Leggo the Bird and Tip inna It.
Other secular entertainers booked to perform on the show include Kraff, upcoming Montego Bay based-female artiste Rhemii Ice, Proghres, Unknown Gringo and Brix Don.
Meanwhile, recording gospel artiste, Joseph Scott will headline a galaxy of gospel acts, including the Unity Singers and Shavaun Reid at the family show, while radio personality, Jenny Jenny and the Dancing Dynamites will provide entertainment during the day.
The annual Hague Agricultural and Industrial Show is being hosted by the Trelawny Association of Branch Society, an affiliate of the Jamaica Agricultural Society, under the theme: ‘Fostering Economic Growth, Through Agricultural Value Chains.’
The show gives farmers and producers of agricultural products the opportunity to showcase a diversity of agricultural products and services that are aligned with agriculture.
Commenting on the live entertainment segment, Trelawny Association of Branch Society president Audrey Nelson said based on the line-up of artistes for this year’s show, she is expecting to see a record turnout in attendance.
“We are very excited about this year’s staging of the event and we have ensured that the entertainers we have selected will provide quality entertainment for the whole family,” said Nelson.
The usually well-attended show returns to Trelawny after a two-year hiatus because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
