Fast rising dancehall star Valiant will be the guest at the Ring Road D’After Mas event come March 18.

The event, being spearheaded by Campus Elite Jamaica, promises to be an exciting one for university revelers, according to founder and CEO Sandré Malcolm.

“Valiant is undeniably the hottest artiste in dancehall right now, therefore so we knew if we were to plan an epic experience, including live performances, it would have to be him. We reached out via a mutual acquaintance and made it happen,” he told OBSERVER ONLINE.

The event will follow UWI Carnival, on the Mona Campus in St Andrew.

Music will be provided by DJ Fyahmatic. There will also be a foam pit, and food and sponsor village. VIP patrons will enjoy a drink inclusive experience.

Campus Elite was founded in 2018 to foster opportunities for university and college students.

“Campus Elite creates opportunities for the most promising university-educated talents, personalities, and entrepreneurs to capitalise on. Through our strategic partnerships, we offer our members exclusive access to networking opportunities, mentorship, and professional development resources, as well as exposure to diverse perspectives and new ideas,” Malcolm explained.

He further added that the brand has, to a large extent, achieved its mandate by creating opportunities.

“Campus elite has successfully launched its online platform, the Campus Elite College Community, it has grown to over 3,500 active users. We subsequently launched the Campus Elite App that quickly rose to the number two education app in the app store,” he said, adding

“Through our partnerships with some of Jamaicas most reputable companies, such as Sagicor Life, Sagicor Bank, Flow Jamaica, Chase E Ramson, Lynk mobile payments among many others, we have provided over $3 million to students via temporary jobs. We have facilitated numerous networking opportunities between students and company managers resulting in some, securing jobs and internships at different companies.”

Malcolm also cited what he said was the successful launch of the brand’s Varsity Season two programme “with some of the brightest and most influential students in the university space”.

He added, “As a commitment to raising the standard of the university experience we have successfully secured a partnership with the UWI Mona Guild of students to introduce a new event in the UWI Carnival line up, Ring Road D’AfterMas, aimed at redefining the UWI Carnival after ring road experience.”

The conceptualiser said he and his team are optimistic about Ring Road D’After Mas.

“Ultimately we want patrons to leave the event feeling as though they were in wonderland. In awe about the fact that their needs were catered to and they were able to have an epic experience in a safe and secure environment,” he said.
