St Ann man charged for 2022 murder
Police on Friday charged a man in connection with last October’s killing of a mason on Windsor Road in St Ann’s Bay, St Ann.
Charged with murder, possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorized possession of ammunition is Peter Johnson, otherwise called Rennie, 20, from Charles Town in Windsor Heights, St Ann.
Johnson was charged for the death of 28-year-old Kerone Thomas from Lime Hall in the parish.
Police had reported that around 5:45 pm on Monday, October 17, residents reportedly heard explosions and alerted them. On their arrival, Thomas was seen with gunshot wounds.
He was taken to the St Ann’s Bay Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The police said following investigations, Johnson was picked up in connection with the murder and later pointed out during an identification parade.
Johnson was then charged following a question and answers session. No court date was given for the accused.
