17-y-o arrested after man stabbed to death in St Mary
ST MARY, Jamaica – A 17-year-old boy was taken into police custody after a knife was used to stab a man to death near the Triple P plaza in Highgate, St Mary, on Thursday morning.
The teen reportedly fled after the killing but was later caught by police, and the weapon believed to have been used in the killing was seized.
The dead man has been identified as Gary Graham, otherwise called Patta Cat, a resident of Highgate.
Police revealed that Graham and the teen had been having a series of disputes in which the Highgate police had intervened several times.
It was reported that around 7:30am Thursday, the teen went and asked someone for money. Police said Graham discouraged the person from giving the teen any money.
An argument developed between the teen and Graham. Police said the altercation got physical, and a knife was used to stab the now-deceased in his neck, killing him on the spot.
