One Great Studio Company Limited (1GS), a digital-first agency helping companies to drive profit and purpose by leveraging digital marketing tools across multiple online platforms, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary.
Founded in 2012 by CEO Djuvane Browne and COO Gina DeLisser, 1GS started out offering design and development services, and gradually expanded to include developing content strategy, copywriting, community management, content production, digital strategy, and ad management.
It now has a team of 42 employees serving clients both locally and globally.
As a digital-first agency, 1GS helps companies to leverage digital channels to achieve their business goals within budget and on time. Their team of marketing futurists has cultivated a culture of learning, embracing new approaches, deepening technical skills, and using analytical and data marketing skills to deliver remarkable results.
With over 100 clients, including both local and international brands, 1GS has gained a reputation for providing tech-enabled, digital-first marketing services that drive business outcomes.
“We help our customers to navigate this complex digital world by providing custom solutions for their business. We build websites and apps, we drive traffic to them through SEO [search engine optimisation] and paid advertising, and we optimise those assets for conversions that impact the bottom line for our clients,” shared 1GS CEO and Co-Founder Djuvane Browne.
Working as the digital marketing team for several local leading businesses and brands, in 2018 1GS began building partnerships and landing multiple projects from agencies based in North America. This was as a result of an acqui-hire deal of their current Head of Web Robert Evelyn.
Noting the move as an impactful one, COO Gina DeLisser stated, “The impact of this move was evident, we were in full flight and ready to grow to the next level in 2020. The pandemic was a wake-up call for local companies who were previously hesitant to invest in digital. We were fortunately well prepared to take advantage of the increased demand for digital services. We were running a hybrid operation, with clients across the world and in different time zones,” DeLisser explained.
The novel coronavirus pandemic accelerated the pace of digital transformation in Jamaica and across the world, and 1GS was well-prepared to meet the increased demand for digital services. Their hybrid operation and experience in the use of technology to manage teams and projects effectively have positioned them for continued success.
Browne shared, “We’ve come a long way from our start in 2012. Today, 1GS is leading the way in providing tech-enabled, digital-first marketing services that drive business outcomes.
“The market now demands omni-channel delivery of content and audience engagement geared towards creating memorable experiences and building brand loyalty.”
Chairman of the board of 1GS, John Bailey, praised the agency’s dynamic group of young professionals who are very focused on the digital space and all it has to offer. He expressed pride in the company’s accomplishments and confidence in their ability to pave the way for one great future.
