Jamaican-born dancehall artiste Kkrytical might be based in New York, but he still manages to engage a large fan base both locally and internationally.

“[My] fan base is very wide and supportive, and I connect with supporters in Jamaica through social media and travelling back and forth when I get the chance,” he told the Jamaica Observer.

This came on the heels of his song Neva Cap released on February 6. It was produced by Amir Muzik Group/Ramed Studios.

The deejay, whose given name is Ronald Longmore, is a past student of Gaynstead and Vere Technical high school. He migrated to the US in 2010.

He explained that Neva Cap is about what he experiences in his day-to-day life.

“It is a hard-hitting, controversial song about living the lifestyle; you know the girls, the whip, the money, and just all the hype that comes along with it,” he said.

His past hits include Rush Remix, White Collar and Mama.

“I would say the world is my playground and I am certainly not limiting my music. Anybody, anywhere can listen to this song and other music that I have released previously and hold a vibe,” the deejay explained.

Kkrytical told the Observer that he welcomes the evolution of Jamaican music.

“Well, nothing is gonna stay one way forever. Change is inevitable and we, as artistes, have to adapt or get left behind,” he reasoned.

“I am always putting in the work, always working on my craft. Just look out for a lot more things to come,” he said.
