Jungle Fiah to set up shop in Kingston
KINGSTON, Jamaica- Ever since opening its doors in Spanish Town, Jungle Fiah Restaurant has had its sights set on setting up shop in Kingston. Come May 1, that dream will be realised as the popular eatery will make downtown Kingston its latest home.
In an interview with OBSERVER ONLINE, Jungle Fiah director, Franklyn Mason Jr, said he is excited to be expanding his food brand to the Corporate Area. According to the businessman, growth is an indication of the right moves being undertaken and he’s looking forward to even greater things to come.
“We’ve been wanting to come to Kingston for a while now but we just had to find the perfect location to be the flagship of our Kingston branches. We’re confident that this will be a beautiful introduction to corporate Kingston and St Andrew,” he said. “We’re a brand that is always on the rise — too big to contain and so growth is a must. Ever since my father started the brand, he had big plans and I just came along to further the vision.”
Mason Jr said it was only a matter of time before his dreams of expansion were brought to fruition as he has had unwavering support from the Jamaican public since the brand made its introduction several years ago. According to him, customers have been requesting a Kingston location and downtown Kingston seemed like the perfect spot.
“Our Kingston customers have been persistently requesting that we bring something closer to them so we realised there was a gap to be filled. We have been searching for some time for the right location, and this food court downtown gives us the right image for our brand. Downtown is also developing and we want to be a part of that,” he said.
Indicating that amazing food is what they are known for, the Jungle Fiah front-man said they are also looking to provide clients with competitive prices and improved service.
“The consistency and quality of our food has really contributed to the growth of our brand. Patrons always tell us we are one of the few places where they can still go to get authentic and affordable Jamaican food. That won’t change. We are also looking to provide our customers with improved service and competitive prices,” he stated.
