Laa Lee is Magnum’s newest brand ambassador
Dancehall artiste Laa Lee is the newest Magnum Tonic Wine brand ambassador.
The announcement was made Friday night at the Magnum All-Star Sound Clash which took place at Olympic Way in Kingston.
Kamal Powell, marketing manager at J Wray and Nephew Limited, manufacturers and distributors of Magnum, said signing Laa Lee was a no-brainer.
“We wanted to add a younger and more energetic person to our lineup of brand ambassadors. I think Laa Lee has the creativity, the youth and the dynamism. He works hard to perfect his craft. He has also shown that he is moving in a particular trajectory, and we want to be there with him through his growth,” Powell disclosed to OBSERVER ONLINE.
He continued, “We have to look out for the next generation of dancehall artistes. It has been great working with him thus far and we are looking forward to bigger things with him.”
Laa Lee, given name Romario Ricketts, exploded onto the music scene in 2018 with the hit single Whatz on Sale. Originally from the community of Jungle in west Kingston, he later followed up with hits such as Tip Inna It, Dirt Bounce, Bong Bing, Bird and Floating.
Dancehall artistes Spice and Ding Dong are also Magnum brand ambassadors.
