Jamaicans hail Sister Maureen Clare Hall
Hundreds of Jamaicans on Thursday celebrated the life of former Immaculate Conception High School principal, Sister Maureen Clare Hall, during a mass of thanksgiving and funeral rites at Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St Andrew.
Sister Maureen, who served as principal from 1963 to 1991, died on May 12 at the age of 88.
During her more than two-decade tenure, Sister Maureen became known as a disciplinarian who, regardless of the demands on her time, always attended to people in need.
Following the mass, at which the top leadership of the Catholic Church in Jamaica officiated, her body was interred at Alvernia cemetery on Old Hope Road.
