Taste it, Eat it, Drink it, Applaud it! And this they (mostly) did Thursday morning at buzo Jamaica where sponsors and Jamaica Observer Table Talk Food Awards judges convened for the launch of the 24th staging of the food awards, the region’s premier culinary/award-winning affair. Joining the intimate gathering were UTech students Felecia Forde and Naomi Blake, representing the six recipients of the 2022/23 Food Awards scholarships.

In between the three-course affair comprising antipasti, secondi and dolci, and sips of Prosecco, sponsors were brought up to speed by Food Awards Chair Novia McDonald-Whyte while Jamaica Observer Managing Director Dominic Beaubrun welcomed all, and Forde and Blake recounted how their scholastic journey had improved exponentially, having been awarded scholarships. Both will graduate with honours at the end of this academic year.

With the countdown on in earnest the bonhomie was palpable and many expressed their eagerness to join the #OTeam for the flagship event on Thursday, June 29 at Devon House

Page 2 joins the launch festivities.
