God Do It!
Gospel recording artiste Jason “GodSon Four Corners” Lunan is pleased with the reception his track God Do It has been receiving.
“The response has been great. We have been doing it on a few shows. We did it at the JCDC [Jamaica Cultural Development Commission] Labour Day concert, and it was well received, and that has been the response for all places that we have performed thus far,” Lunan told the Jamaica Observer.
The single, which is a collaboration with Damion “Minister Treasure” Bell was released on April 14. It was produced by Steele Plate Records.
“The message is extremely important as, through the message, God speaks in detail. That’s where people will find things they can relate to and also what God says through the word about different things. Words are powerful. Words affect change both positively and negatively based on how they are used. The message in my music is positive and uplifting,” Lunan, who hails from Kingston said.
Collaborating for the first time, the connection between both artistes made for this significant duet, which has been receiving great reviews since release.
Directed by Bloozick Filmworks, the accompanying music video has already amassed almost 30,000 views on YouTube.
“My hope for this song is that it will reach the four corners of the Earth and that people will understand and be encouraged that God can do anything. No matter the magnitude of the dream or the depth of the situation, God is more than able, the artiste expressed, with Minister Treasure adding, “I hope that everyone can relate to the blessings of the Lord in our day-to-day lives of what God has done for us.”
Lunan has been on his professional music journey for the past 13 years, with his writing going as far back as 2003. His previously released tracks include I Need A Word, Feeling High, God Man, and Toaster.
“My music is always inspired by God, personal experiences, the experiences of others, and the word,” the artiste revealed.
For Minister Treasure, he has been on his musical path since 2008, honing a talent he originally discovered in high school. His discography includes tracks such as Tell Me Why, Too Bless to be Stressed, Praise Him, Hallelujah, and Save Mi.
“I just need more support when it comes to gospel music. Many times, we’ve been overlooked, but we’re working hard without support and we made sacrifices to reach out to our listeners, witness to our school community, and want to leave a legacy for the next generations to come,” he told the Observer.
