Reggae Girlz squad named for FIFA Women’s World Cup
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Reggae Girlz coach Lorne Donaldson on Friday named the players that will represent Jamaica at next month’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
The Girlz booked their spot in a second-consecutive tournament after defeating Haiti 4-0 in their final Group A match of the Concacaf Women’s Championship in Monterrey, Mexico last year.
They will begin their campaign when they take on one of the favourites France in Sydney, Australia, on July 23. Jamaica will face Panama in their second game in Perth, Australia on July 29, then Brazil, another title contender, in Melbourne, Australia on August 2.
The tournament is scheduled to take place from July 20 to August 20.
The squad includes:
