
Trelawny man accused of stealing gaming box charged
TRELAWNY, Jamaica – A 42-year-old farmer of Spicy Hill in Trelawny has been arrested and charged after he reportedly removed a gaming box from a bar and threatened a worker.
Charged is Omar Jarrett, otherwise called ‘Shooty Shooty’.
Reports from the Falmouth Police are that about 1:30 pm, a bar owner was involved in a dispute with a man over money.
Jarrett allegedly accompanied a man to the bar and forcefully removed a pot of gold Gaming Box, which was installed there and contained an undetermined amount of money.
An employee, who was present at the bar, protested against them removing the box.
Jarrett, who allegedly had a firearm in his waistband, reportedly threatened to slap her in the face. Jarrett and his accomplice then placed the gaming box, valued at $550,000, in a motor car and they drove away.
The matter was reported to the police and Jarrett was apprehended and subsequently charged following a witness statement.
His court date is being finalised.
