Drenchhed foam, water party on this Sunday

Chantele “DJ Nova” Roye, conceptualiser of the Drenchhed foam and water party, is optimistic that its 10th anniversary will be a hit on Sunday.

“It is the most highly anticipated foam and water event on the south side of the island. It caters to everyone and is energetic from start to finish. There is the general section for the people who want to get wet, also accompanied with a dry zone, and there is also a VIP section which is food and coconut inclusive,” she told the Jamaica Observer.

Slated for Roye’s Plaza in Junction, St Elizabeth, music will be provided by DJ Nova, alongside Fire Chin, Team Shella, Nico Lee and Chiney K, DJ Wass, Chaddy G and Fiyah T, and Elusive.

DJ Nova said there will be a slew of surprises to mark the event’s milestone.

“Drenchhed has always maintained a high standard over the years and this year, being our 10th staging, we plan to elevate the experience even more. You have to come out on Sunday to experience it for yourself,” she said.

The organiser — a disc jockey at Fyah 105 — also said that preparations have been going seamlessly, thanks to her team.

“If you do events you know how unpredictable they can be. I have to give thanks for my family and all the support they have provided over the years, the team on the ground and everyone who has played a role in some way each year and, of course, the patrons because without them there would be no Drenchhed,” she said.

“Drenchhed is a party for the people and will always continue to be,” charged DJ Nova.
