Goule third in Lausanne Diamond League 800m
KINGSTON, Jamaica – National champion Natoya Goule finished third in what could be her final warm-up race before the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) National Championships.
Goule ran 1:58.90 seconds in the women’s 800m at the Athletissima Lausanne in Switzerland on Friday.
Goule took over the lead in the Wanda Diamond League women’s 800m with 17 points and was well placed through the race before finishing third behind Kenya’s Mary Moraa, who won in a season’s best 1:57.43s and Great Britain’s world leader Keely Hodgkinson – 1:58.37s.
Goule is the only Jamaican taking part in the sixth stop on the Diamond League circuit.
Shot putter Danniel Thomas-Dodd will be the only Jamaican scheduled for Sunday’s Stockholm Diamond League meeting.
