#NationalTrials: JC’s Edwards leaps to over seven metres to win U-18 boys’ long jump

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica College’s Michael-Andre Edwards was the lone competitor to record a jump over seven metres as he claimed the Under-18 boys’ long jump title at the National Senior and Junior Championships on Friday.

The Old Hope Road athlete leapt to a mark of 7.20m to finish ahead of Coke High’s Anthony Hall, who registered a jump of 6.83m for second.

A jump of 6.07m was enough for Javid Malcolm of Petersfield High to round out the top three finishers.
