Jamaican-Canadian supermodel Winnie Harlow has tapped into acting. Harlow makes an appearance on Netflix‘s new romantic comedy, The Perfect Find, starring award-winning actress Gabrielle Union-Wade and Keith Powers.

Filled with excitement and gratitude the model took the news to her IG page to share with her fans while thanking Union-Wade who guided her. “Thank you Gabrielle Union for having me and coaching me through this scene, this was the first time I had ever filmed an actual script and even though Gabby and I have been friends for years, as soon as I saw her on set, them nerves were something serious. Now I can’t wait for my next role,” Harlow shared.

First, the star rocked the Dancehall Dress from Sammy B Designs, by fashion designer Samantha Black, as she celebrated her BET Plus docuseries My Journey To 50 with a lavish Miami bash a few weeks ago.

Then for Who What Wear magazine’s July 2023 issue, Union-Wade posed in the Double Web Top from Diotima. Diotima is a New York-based crochet luxury line by Jamaican fashion designer Rachel Scott.

British tennis player Laura Robson brought a little bling to Wimbledon.

Robson was spotted with Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, wearing the 14kt Mosaic Diamond Necklace from Mateo New York. Mateo New York is a high-end jewellery brand helmed by Jamaican-born New York-based jewellery designer Matthew “Mateo” Harris.

The Princess of Wales, who is a tennis lover herself, sat beside Robson, engaged in a conversation, on day two of the series of tennis events. Wimbledon is scheduled to run from June 26 to July 16, 2023.

US American actress, producer, director and writer Victoria Rowell served as mistress of ceremonies for the 100 Black Men of America Gala event at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas last month, where award-winning actress Sheryl Lee Ralph was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

100 Black Men of America is a men’s civic organisation and service club whose stated goal is to educate and empower African-American children and teens. As of 2009, the organisation has 110 chapters and more than 10,000 members in different cities in the United States and worldwide.
