The CDT School mounts summer intensive
The CDT School will again host its annual summer dance intensive for all ages, July 17-28, 2023, with a faculty of local and international instructors.
The programme, dubbed CODA (Celebrating Outstanding Dance Artists) aims at introducing and training in the various styles of the art form.
Hana Delong, of Dallas Black Dance Theatre, will lead the focus on contemporary dance. London’s Royal Ballet School’s Denzil Bailey offers guidance in ballet. While The CDT School’s own Steven Cornwall will offer lessons in dancehall. CDT’s Adrian Wanliss also will present ballet.
CDT and The CDT School recently presented its June Gala to much acclaim at which works from the school’s junior, intermediate and advanced levels were on display.
Proceeds from that event assisted with the care of Company Dance Theatre Artistic Director Emeritus Tony Wilson, who attend the performances.
The summer dance intensive serves as one of the former programmes catering to all level of talent and ambition, with a rich variety of expression.
Classes will be held at American International School of Kingston (AISK) campus.
