MONTEGO BAY, St James – Lady Warriors retook the lead in Western Basketball Association Women’s Invitational last weekend after they beat Lady Thunder 38-22 in their return-round game at Montego Bay Cricket Club.
Lady Warrior’s second win over the Trelawny-based team took them past Lady Elite1, who forfeited their game against Golden Ravens who were getting their first ‘win’ of the season.
Nicole Dias was once again the leader for the Lady Warriors team as she produced a double-double 18 points and 12 rebounds, Monique Reid scored eight points and had four rebounds, and Alcia Mendez scored seven points and had seven rebounds.
Alain Walters scored 13 points for Lady Thunder, while Kaydeen Thompson scored nine points.
