Magnum Tonic Wine promises exciting Top Perfoma sets for Sumfest

The largest reggae festival on Earth began its week-long roster of activities on Sunday, July 16, 2023, with a Family Funday Community Fest at the Catherine Hall Stadium. The highly anticipated festival will culminate on the weekend, with Festival Nights 1 & 2, at which a start-studded line-up of reggae and dancehall acts will grace the stage.

Reggae Sumfest has cemented its status as a significant staple in Jamaica’s entertainment industry, having provided the opportunity for new and existing artistes and stakeholders alike, to display their talent. It is for this reason that Magnum Tonic Wine, the official drink of dancehall and proud sponsor of Reggae Sumfest for the festival’s 30th anniversary, is thrilled to be on board once more.

According to Kamal Powell, regional marketing manager of Magnum Tonic Wine, “We are happy to be a part of this most iconic event for another year. We’ve partnered with Reggae Sumfest for many years, so for its 30th anniversary we had to come bigger and better to elevate the Magnum Reggae Sumfest experience.”

For the past month, the Magnum team has been making its rounds, with a series of road shows, kick-starting its Reggae Sumfest campaign. These road shows provided a platform to integrate the Magnum Top Performa competitors into the communities, giving patrons a taste of what to expect on festival night one. The recently crowned Top Performa, Jubba, will make his début on the Reggae Sumfest stage, promising an action-packed set.

“I’m really excited to be performing at this year’s Reggae Sumfest staging. It’s the biggest reggae and dancehall show in the world, so me ago put in the work because me haffi mek Magnum, Romeich, Jussbuss Tv, Chimney Records and the whole Reggae Sumfest team proud. Right now I just want my fans and patrons weh a come out, know seh Jubba ago seh ‘HELLOO’ to dancehall. Man nuh plan fi fall off, we can only go up from here” expressed a very excited Jubba, Magnum Top Performa 2023 winner.

Powell shared that a Magnum SkyDeck at the festival’s venue will host the winners of the numerous giveaways that were done as part of their ‘Road to Sumfest’ campaign.

He stressed, too, that Thursday night’s Global Soundclash will feature the winner of the Magnum All-Star Sound Clash.
