PHOTOS: Alkaline bids farewell to father
A funeral service for the father of dancehall star Alkaline was held at the Church of God of Prophecy in Stony Hill, St Andrew on Friday.
Earl Ninrod Bartley, otherwise known as “Rooster”, “Fada” and “Specky”, died on June 12, a day after celebrating his 59th birthday. He had been ailing for sometime.
Kimona Bartley (left) appears grief-stricken as she walks away from the casket with her father’s remains. She is being assisted by her friend, Stacey-Ann Thompson.
A sombre mood engulfed the church as attendees celebrated Bartley, who was remembered as a good father who was proud of his superstar son and other children.
A grieving Alkaline, whose birth name is Earlan Bartley, at the start of the service placed a rose on his father’s casket.
