Johnny Azar, co-conceptualiser of Red 2.0, says preparations for the July 29 staging of the event are in high gear.

“The preparations have been going well. We have a great production team, an amazing venue, and there is a lot of hype in the lead-up to the event. We want an intimate vibe so there are only limited tickets available which are going fast. There are always last-minute things to deal with when planning an event like this, but we feel we have covered all bases and it is going to be special,” Azar told the Jamaica Observer.

The event is slated for Caymanas Golf Club in St Catherine, with music from DJ Tyler, DJ Kryptic and Patrick The Hypeman.

The first staging of the event was held during the Christmas season. Johnny’s brother, Daniel, added that it checked all the boxes.

“The feedback to the first event was amazing and we are definitely looking to build on that vibe. Everyone who attended the first party has been asking when the next one would be, so we felt that summer was the perfect time and it’s great to see the vibe building for what’s going to be a great party,” he told the Observer.

Using a similar blueprint for this staging, Daniel believes that Red 2.0 will reap the same, or a higher level of success.

“We have the best DJs, an incredible venue, super secure location, fantastic sound and production team and great food and drinks included in the entry price. When you add all of that together the result is going to be special, and it’s not one that people are going to want to miss! People have been asking about VIP tickets but everyone entering Red 2.0 Summer will be treated like a VIP,” he said.

“Ticket sales have been going even far better than expected so far. We are still over a week out and we know there will be a rush closer to the event… We have a number of ticket outlets and tickets are also available online and from our brand ambassadors,” the promoter said.

“Our aim isn’t to have the biggest party, but definitely to have the best party,” he added.
