ST JAMES, Jamaica – Leaders Cornwall College and Cambridge United will meet in the St James Football Association Under-20 first round game on Wednesday at the UDC field that could be a preview of the final.

Cornwall College leads with seven points from three games, a point ahead of Cambridge United, who have won both games played so far.

In another game scheduled, Granville United will host Spot Valley High at the Granville Community in a game where both teams will be seeking their first win of the season.

Five teams are taking part in the competition after Irwin Academy withdrew and they are seeking a place in the semi-finals set for Friday, August 11th.

At UDC field, Cambridge United, who were the most recent winners of the competition when it was last held in 2019, will seek to extend their perfect season against a Cornwall College team that has yet to concede a goal after three games played.

Shamour Smith and Tajay McIntyre have both scored two goals each for Cambridge United, while five different players have scored for Cornwall College.

If there is a winner in the game at Granville they would improve their chances of making it to the semi-finals; Spot Valley are on two points after drawing both games played so far, while Granville United have lost both of their games.

Green Pond High, the other team in the competition, is on one point from their three games played.
