JCDC Festival Queen ‘Spa-Arty’ at the Pegasus

Massy Distribution Limited, a member of the Massy Group of Companies, organised a lavish “Spa-Arty” for the JCDC Festival Parish Queens on Monday, July 24, at the storied Jamaica Pegasus hotel in the Royal Club Liguanea Suite.

The event aimed to provide the hard-working queens with a well-deserved day of relaxation and self-care ahead of the intense Festival Queen Competition. Some may ask, Why a Spa-Arty? It may come as a surprise to learn just how regimented and gruelling the competition is for the contestants. Sure, each woman is passionate about representing her parish, reaching for that coveted crown, and engaging with the community, but with those amazing perks comes a massive load of responsibilities and work. Not only are they mentally and physically preparing throughout the year, but those final weeks of rehearsals leading up to the live competition also have them going for countless hours every day.

The day lent itself to self-care tips from Biore ambassador Jada Paige, face massages from a beauty expert at Beauty Mark Limited topped it all off with Massy’s famous mega self-care baskets which included beauty products to help the contestants continue their self-care journey and relaxation at home.
