Cham wows crowd at LL Cool J concert in NY
On Saturday evening it was pure pandemonium inside Forest Hill Stadium at LL Cool J’s “Rock the Bells” concert held in Queens, New York as iconic producer and hip hop mogul Swizz Beatz invited international dancehall superstar Cham on stage.
“You can’t have Hip Hop without Reggae,” Swizz Beatz uttered before calling on Billboard hit maker Cham on stage to perform a plethora of hits from his extensive catalogue.
The ladies sang in unison when Cham belted his 2003 hit ‘Vitamin S’ produced by Dave Kelly (Madhouse Records).
The crowd erupted when he took them down memory lane with his timeless hit “Ghetto Story”.
The concert ‘Rock the Bell’ coincides with the 50th anniversary of the birth of Hip Hop, which is being celebrated all year long by the city.
Cham shared a snippet of his performance and the fans have been praising him.
“The vibe was surreal yesterday with Swizz Beatz. He always represents for the culture, a just real love and respect all the time. The dancehall/reggae fans really showed out,” he told OBSERVER ONLINE.
Cham hinted that “fans can look out for the anticipated EP titled ‘Time Bomb’ from the dynamic duo Cham and Bounty Killer in September”.
