#BarbiePinkPoutPotion
It's not a gloss, it's Belle Beauty's new #PinkPoutPotion.
Lifestyle, Tuesday Style, Under the Dryer
August 8, 2023

#BarbiePinkPoutPotion

Your Tuesday Style Dryer (TSD) team has covered lip blushing and has successfully pointed you in the right direction for lip neutralisation, but for summer 2023 the girlies have embraced a less invasive way to achieve the perfect pink pout.

Lip lightening can be achieved naturally with the right combination of ingredients, but the key is protection against further UV damage. Attorney-at-law, marketer and now beauty entrepreneur Kenisha Harrison tells TSD of her frustration while searching for a way to reduce her dark and uneven lip tone. “I combed every major beauty store in America and was met with the same response: They did not offer products to lighten lips and remove dark spots,” explained Harrison.

It led her to explore lip blushing, a semi-permanent tattoo process that boosts the shape and colour of lips. But a few horror stories were enough to deter her. “I decided to use the money I would have used for the lip blushing procedure for research and development of a product that would fix my problem, not mask it,” she said.

This was 2021. Fast-forward to 2023 and Harrison has launched Candy Lips, a natural lip lightening balm specifically formulated to reduce hyperpigmentation caused by smoking, lip-sucking, sun damage, and age. Harrison says Candy Lips is effective because it lightens and protects. The formula is made up of shea butter, aloe, and other natural oils to lock in moisture.

“Selling the product was not my first thought. That decision came after I tried the product and saw the rapid results. I decided to help other women fix their insecurity with darkened lips,” she shared.

Candy Lips is the first product launched by Belle Beauty, a sub-brand of Belle Moden, a registered business in Jamaica that sells fine fashion jewellery online. Harrison’s immediate plan is to service the local market, gain popularity locally, then expand to the international market.
