Kashief Lindo teams with Honorebel for ‘You Alone’

Kashief Lindo teams with Honorebel for ‘You Alone’

Countless artistes have passed through the studios of Heavy Beat Records over the years. Kashief Lindo, who works as artiste and engineer at that South Florida label, has collaborated with most of them.

One of them is singjay Honorebel with whom he teams on You Alone, their latest song.

Lindo told OBSERVER ONLINE that being in the music business for many years, has taught him not to focus on trends.

“Wi jus’ mek music! I don’t look at what is current or anything like that…it all comes to the energy I feel when I hear a rhythm,” he said.

The track for the uptempo You Alone was actually laid several years ago. Lindo recalls he and Honorebel ‘vibing’ over the beat before recording, but there was no rush to get the song out.

“In music, everything is based on timing and we’re just waiting to see what the response will be. I’m sure it will be good,” he said.

You Alone follows a slew of songs Lindo released in the past year, such as See You in Your Arms Tonight. That song is from Love On, his 2021 album.

The son of ace musician and producer Willie Lindo, Kashief Lindo hit the charts in the late 1990s with the rocking No Can Do and a cover of The First Cut is The Deepest, both for Heavy Beat Records.

Since then, he has released a number of singles and several albums for the family-owned label, which is best known for producing songs like What One Dance Can Do by Beres Hammond and I Wanna Wake up With You by Boris Gardiner.
