Big12welve evolves with ‘Darkest Days’
Fast-rising duo Big12welve believes that they have a hit on their hands with Darkest Days, a juicy cut that further serve to carve out their spot within the entertainment community.
“This track depicts real-life events for us; we have grown somewhat less fortunate but believed even during our ‘darkest days’ that better would come,” Musa Dan, one half of the dynamic duo, said.
The trap-dancehall composition infused with the melodic sounds of the saxophone sees the two toasting about their formidable days, the trials faced, and triumphs attained. The song has resonated with dancehall fans as the official video has already amassed almost 700,000 on YouTube and continues to enjoy an uptick in streams.
Abo Dan, the other half of the duo, is confident that music enthusiasts and partygoers will add the song to their playlists.
“The intent was to make a record that people find relatable as they reflect on their daily challenges, knowing that one-day things will improve,” he said.
The duo broke onto the scene with the buzzworthy track Money Conversations, which subsequently spawned a remix featuring international dancehall sensation Skilibeng and amassed almost a million collective views on Youtube.
Label executive Akim Larmond, who also operates as management for the duo, is delighted about the track.
“Darkest Days represents the type of music fans can come to expect from Big12welve moving forward, and we are very pleased with the positive feedback the track has been receiving,” Larmond said.
Prior to this latest effort, there were several releases, including the above-mentioned Money Conversations Remix with Skillibeng, Cyah Sorry, and SRC (Stay Real to the Chap), which debuted to showcase the duo’s artistry and versatility.
