Shane O prepares debut album
Eighteen years after he first exploded onto the music scene riding the Applause riddim with the monster hit Lightning Flash, dancehall artiste Shane O is in debut album mode.
In an interview with OBSERVER ONLINE at the Wray and Nephew Fight Nights series at the Arnett Gardens Sports Complex, where he performed during the entertainment segment, Shane O shared the reason behind the delay in releasing a debut album.
“It has to do with timing, you nuh. We have some song out deh right now weh we a try mek soak een with the people dem and once that happens, we gonna put out the album,” he explained.
So far, two songs from the project have made their way into the public domain, My Last and Breakdown.
Breakdown, he said, was inspired by past events in his life.
“Jah send mi da song deh. Is a situation all of us have been through. Mi just feel mi deserve da type a song deh,” he disclosed.
As for the album, Brain O, as well as producers including Feel Good Boss Music and SOR will lend their talents to the project.
Shane O is known for hits such as Lightning Flash, Partner Draw and last year’s blockbuster hit Dark Room.
