We ‘Scott’ This

In a picturesque fusion of love, simplicity, and elegance Elizabeth Pommells and Chi-Kong Scott embarked on their journey into eternal togetherness on a sun-kissed day in Negril. The story of their romance, from the halls of Black River High School to the stunning Ocean Cliff Hotel, is a testament to the power of love, commitment, and shared dreams.

Elizabeth, known to her friends as Lizzy, is an entrepreneur and a final-year nursing student at Northern Caribbean University. Chi-Kong, on the other hand, is the proud owner of Scott Farm 3G. Their paths first converged in the seventh grade, forging a bond that would withstand the test of time and distance. After years of friendship their connection deepened, leading them to embrace a love that would see them through various chapters of life.

On that fateful February day in 2023, while basking in the tranquil beauty of Ocean Cliff Hotel, Chi-Kong found the perfect moment to express his devotion to Pommells. With the soothing sound of the ocean waves as their witness, he knelt and presented a sparkling testament of his love. The same enchanting location would later witness their union in matrimony, on July 11, 2023.

The wedding’s theme encapsulated alluring simplicity in an all-white palette, showcasing their shared values of elegance and understated charm. Against the backdrop of the glistening ocean the ceremony took place at the Ocean Spa Stoned Cliff area of the hotel, with the sun gracefully setting as the couple exchanged their vows. Reverend Clement Reid officiated the ceremony, his words echoing the deep commitment that Pommells and Scott have for one another.

Floral arches created by the talented Zodi-Ann Evans framed the couple, adorned with delicate roses and carnations that mirrored the love that blossoms between them. The bouquet Lizzy held in her hands was a fragrant cascade of these same blooms, a symbol of their enduring affection.

As the strains of Joe’s I Believe in You wafted through the air the couple shared their first dance as husband and wife. Al-Ray Campbell, the talented photographer behind Merge Creative Media, skillfully captured each heartfelt moment, preserving the emotions of the day in timeless photographs.

The reception, held under the starlit sky at the Ocean Spa Outdoor Pavilion, featured culinary delights orchestrated by Ocean Cliff Hotel. Guests were treated to an intimate dinner experience during which the couple’s love story was toasted with Veuve Clicquot Champagne.

The wedding’s sweetness extended to the dessert table where a vanilla cake with strawberry filling, designed by Chantel Campbell, awaited the couple and their guests. The intricate details of the cake mirrored the intricate layers of their relationship, both sweet and enduring.

Pommells’ wedding gown, designed by Kadian Nicely Exclusive, was a timeless, off-the-shoulder, high-slit design that exuded grace and sophistication. Pommells’ daughter was also adorned in an equally enchanting creation from Nicely.

Scott’s attire spoke of cultural fusion as he donned a white African Dashiki suit embellished with black and gold embroidery. The groomsmen’s ensembles echoed the same cultural elements, paying homage to both tradition and modernity.

The bridal party was a testament to the couple’s close-knit circle, with Mo-Young Scott-Schnizler, Pommell’s sister-in-law, and Mathias Schnizler, her brother-in-law, serving as their witnesses, standing beside them as they embarked on this new chapter.

Elizabeth Pommells-Scott and Chi-Kong Scott’s wedding was more than just an event; it was the culmination of a journey that began with friendship, deepened through shared dreams, and now embraces the promise of a lifetime together. Their Ocean Elegance wedding was a harmonious blend of love, family, and the natural beauty that surrounded them. As they continue to build their lives together their love story will inspire others to pursue their own path to everlasting happiness. Tuesday Style Vows (TSV) wishes the Scotts all the best.
