Gramps Morgan — latest addition to BZR Weekend 2023

Roy “Gramps” Morgan will complete the Chris Brown and Friends Under The Influence Jamaican edition line-up.

The reggae singer, instrumentalist, producer, record executive, and entrepreneur extraordinaire was added to the BZR Weekend’s star-studded roster last week.

Morgan, who is also a member of the Morgan Heritage, posted on his Instagram that he’ll be singing a few songs of love acoustically for the people.

He told media representatives: “I believe this is a cultural musical exchange, so we can enjoy the music. For years Jamaicans have had diversity in music. Genres have been brought here into a melting pot. My being brought on board is like adding pimento. I’m excited!”

Gramps Morgan joins Sean Kingston, Byron Messia, TeeJay, Aidonia, Ding Dong, and others on stage, headlined by the R&B prince Chris Brown.

BZR Weekend runs from August 25-27, 2023, with the concert at the National Stadium next Sunday.
