Natesha lands collabs with Mr Easy, Beenie Man
Recording artiste Natesha says her track Hot Boy, featuring veteran dancehall act Mr Easy, has resonated with listeners.
“I have gotten a lot of positive feedback so far. Everyone loves the song and can’t wait to hear more. There are plans for a video shoot soon,” the singer, whose full name is Natesha Forbes, told the Jamaica Observer.
Natesha added, “Mr Easy is a music great, who brings the raw sound that I needed to Hot Boy. The song connects and should be a must play by DJs around the world.”
That track was a fusion of dancehall, reggae, and R&B, which, according to her, was aimed at capturing a wide audience.
It was officially released on June 9.
Natesha, who is based in New Jersey, USA, was encouraged by her mother to pursue her musical interests. And, after moving to the United States, she sought to get valuable advice about the music industry.
Over two decades ago she won the Miss Glendevon pageant. Later on she was crowned Miss St James 4-H Club, representing her alma mater St James High.
In the same breath, she has just released Sexology with Beenie Man, which has also yielded positive feedback.
“It is well on its way to breaking records. It was an honour working with Beenie Man on that track, which was also produced by super producer Kemar “Flava” McGregor,” she said.
Natesha has hopes of crossing over into dancehall on a wider scale. She believes she has qualities that set her apart from her counterparts.
“I’m unique in every way because of my versatility and poise,” she said.
Earlier releases from Natesha include Reasons and Body.
