No more danger
Dwight Forrest, who was among a number of residents who last week drew attention to an open cable manhole at the intersection of Birdsucker Lane and Barbican Road in St Andrew, expresses satisfaction on Tuesday that the problem has been fixed.
On August 17, 2023, a day after the Jamaica Observer published a photo with Forrest pointing to the danger posed to pedestrians, repair work began.
Forrest said that a little boy had received injuries to his face on falling into the manhole, the cover of which was dislodged by a truck transporting material to a construction site in Graham Heights four months ago.
