Man in custody after fatal stabbing of brother

WESTMORELAND, Jamaica – A man is in custody following the fatal stabbing of his brother in Red Ground Negril, Westmoreland on Tuesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as 52-year-old Micheal Grant otherwise called “Screechy”.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shaunjaye Mitchell told OBSERVER ONLINE that the men were reportedly arguing over a ‘CD’.

Reports are that about 6:40 am, both brothers had a dispute when a knife was brought into play and Grant was stabbed to death.

“The suspect is in custody here at the Negril police station and is expected to be charged later today”, DSP Mitchell confirmed.
