The Style Issue, September 7, 2023
The Caribbean Music Awards premiered at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre a week ago, attracting a full audience eager to witness top Caribbean musicians perform and receive awards in various categories.
Organised by the Caribbean Elite Group, this event aims to celebrate and recognise individuals within the Caribbean diaspora annually who have made notable contributions in music, entertainment, humanitarian work, sports, and more.
Hosted by Wyclef Jean, the inaugual event featured performances by Rock-born dancehall powerhouses like Jada Kingdom and Dexta Daps. And of course, whilst the performances on the stage were blazing, the “lewks” on the red carpet brought heat of their own.
