Young Blackx seeks the breakthrough with Better Life
With the dancehall music space saturated with songs promoting “chopping di line” and sexually explicit lyrics, newcomer Young Blackx is hoping to make a difference with his output.
His latest single Better Life is an inspirational ode for people to believe in persevering, despite the circumstances, to achieve their goals in life.
“Better Life is just sincere message from the heart to motivate each one to believe in themselves and, besides, everyone desires a better life,” said Young Blackx.
The song was released last month and its official music video has racked up more than 500,000 views since then.
The emotional delivery of the song makes Better Life worth a listen.
“Since the release of the song and video, the project has been well-received, and the feedback has been successful. I’m still striving for greatness,” Young Blackx disclosed.
The deejay, whose real name is Junior Blackwood, says his aim is to fill a void within the dancehall space.
“Young Blackx a bring a powerful, soul-filling vibe to dancehall, while indulging in uplifting and pure music to keep young and old generation minds and hearts rocking to everlasting music,” the artiste shared.
Outtasite Entertainment, which produced Better Life, as well as Dappadon Entertainment and Hacha Recordz are some of the production entities with which the artiste has been working.
Originally from Hampton Road district in Porus, Manchester, Young Blackx says he has been knocking on the doors for the musical breakthrough for some time now.
“I am coming with positive lyrics, and I want to create my own lane. Musically, I want to inspire and motivate with the songs that I put out,” he said.
