Happy Grove beats Titchfield 7-0 in d’Cup

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Happy Grove High matched last season’s win total on Thursday after beating Titchfield High 7-0 for their third straight win in Zone N of the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup football competition.

Shevon Miller scored a hat-trick to lead Happy Grove High, scoring in the sixth, 20th and 31st minutes, while Bonny Chisholm had a brace with goals in the 25th minute from the penalty spot and in the 68th minute.

Oshane Chambers in the 36th and Shanroy Cunningham in the 71st minute also scored.

Happy Grove High became the 14th school in the competition with 16 goals scored in three games, and is one short of the 17 they scored in six games last year.

In another game played Thursday, Paul Bogle High edged Yallahs High 1-0 to move into second place in Zone K with six points.

Morant Bay High leads Zone K with nine points, while Yallahs High are in third position on three points followed by Robert Lightbourne High who are yet to open their account.
