Sunshyne P recalls the memories on new single

International recording artiste Sunshyne P has had a lifelong affinity with music which began during her childhood days when she was a student at the VOS Government Primary School in Gasparillo, Trinidad.

“From as early as I can remember music has always been a part of my life. I’ve been singing since I was a child. Before I began my professional solo career I sang in choirs, the Army Chorus and as a background singer in various bands,” she said.

The artiste describes her musical style as Afro-Caribbean.

“Having parents who are from the Caribbean I grew up listening to reggae and dancehall as well as other genres of music. This experience has greatly influenced the music that I create. My sound is definitely Afro-Caribbean with a lot of soul,” said Sunshyne P.

The vivacious entertainer is currently promoting one of her remix single, titled Where Is Featuring Almighty P, which was produced by Keith Kush and Lloyd Laing and released on the Hummingbirds Echo and Records imprint in July.

“This song is a reminder that the one thing that is missing in a world dealing with many struggles is love. The type of love that can heal any situation and is unconditional. It’s a very powerful song that resonates with people all over the world.”

She’s also working on projects with several producers, among them Leroy Sibbles, Dean Fraser, Klyve, EsbyOne, Radical Roots, Eduardo Gross, Juelio, Champeon Champezy, Studio 23 Music Group, and Xklusive Muzic Pro.

Sunshyne P, whose given name is Tricia Pollard, was born in New Jersey. However, she lived in Trinidad and Tobago for a brief period during her childhood before moving back to the United States.

She launched her recording career last year with the release of a single titled Where Is The Love featuring Almighty P, which was produced by Eduardo Gross.
