Issa bans Innswood, Kellits high schools from Manning, daCosta cups
Innswood High School in St Catherine and Kellits High School in Clarendon have been suspended from the Manning and daCosta cups schoolboy football competitions.
The schools were suspended from their respective competition by the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) for using ineligible players.
The schools have also been banned from competing in the competitions next year, Observer Online understands.
ISSA said its Disciplinary Committee met on Friday, October 6, 2023, to investigate the use of ineligible players by the school.
It said the committee found that both schools had used an ineligible player in their respective competitions, and based on the severity, made the rulings.
ISSA says the suspension only applies to the Manning and daCosta Cup competitions.
Hydel High and Jamaica College were also found in breach of the same offence, but ISSA gave these schools probationary sentences and a three-goal winning margin to their opponents in those games.
