EU film festival returns to Jamaica after COVID hiatus
The European Union Film Festival returns to Jamaica for the first time since COVID-19, featuring 11 movies from countries across Europe, including Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, Austria, Czech Republic, Finland, Italy, Latvia, Poland, and Sweden.
The film festival opens on Tuesday, October 17 with a special screening at the EU Delegation. It will run until Sunday, October 22 with screenings at the Palace Cineplex in Sovereign Centre.
Under the theme, ‘Building Bridges: Connecting People,’ the festival offers movie lovers, creatives, students and teachers of international relations, foreign language enthusiasts, and adventurers, the opportunity to see a variety of movies that stimulate conversations on real life issues affecting people from different backgrounds and cultures, the EU said in a press release.
Viewers will also experience varying styles and techniques of storytelling through the eyes of talented, European filmmakers, the release added.
