And just like that, the DeZign Diva herself, Karen Booker, upped the ante for design enthusiasts, Thursday last, for Design Week Ja 2023. Following her well-received-still-buzzed about curation last year at the Devon House Mansion, Booker sashayed downtown for this year’s theme ‘Happiness Through Design: A Stylish Soirée’, at the Jamaica Railway Corporation on Barry Street, in downtown Kingston.
Booker transformed both the station itself as well as the front carriage of the train.
There were moments of nostalgia for many, the result of the clickety-clack of the wheels on the track and the whistle announcing the imminent departure; and design enthusiasts wasted little time in boarding.
Kudos to DeZign Diva for another successful Design Week presentation and for continuing to elevate the local interior decorating scene. Not all heroes wear capes!
