#TSO2023 Highlights

#TakeStyleOut2023 kicked off on Thursday, October 26 with shoppers out in their numbers, eager to secure the best deals. And, with hundreds of stores across the Corporate Area participating, Kingston shoppers had their fair share of options.

For the TSO team — which included content creators Chanel DaCosta and Kristia Franklin — deal-hunting started at Bargain Mall in Half-Way-Tree, at LOUD Fashion. The store, located at shops#5&17, had some of the best deals in town, with 50 per cent storewide discounts.

Principal Doneisha Johnson says she’s been participating in the shopping initiative since it was known as FNO, and has always offered deep discounts. “I tend to find that customers prefer the half-off deal, rather than a 20 or 30 per cent discount. I did 50 per cent off last year and did well, so I decided to stick with that formula,” said Johnson.

Shoppers, many of whom had already identified pieces they wanted on the store’s Instagram page, came out before the store’s 10:00 am opening for first dibs on the sale items. Johnson says day one went well, with 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm being her most lucrative period.

The team wrapped the day at The Muse Cosmetic grand opening at Winchester Business Centre. The beauty haven, helmed by make-up artist and event planner Sophia Butler, will be the exclusive distributor for the luxe cosmetic line Flori Roberts.
