From Pork Palooza To Meet Street + The Market

It was a pork lovers haven on night one of the Jamaica Food and Drink Festival (JFDF) as Pork Palooza, the fan favourite premium drink and food inclusive event, served Havana Night vibes at Hope Gardens!

Guests indulged in fare from over 15 chefs, sipped tasty Worthy Park cocktails, before showing off their best salsa moves on the dance floor of Copperwood Pork Jamaica’s Pork Lovers Club.

Today, festivalgoers are set to delight in a culinary journey with Chef Yassi Brissett’s delectable dishes infused with Pepsi at Jamaica Food + Drink Festival (JFDF) Meet Street + The Market. The event promises to be a culinary sensation as the renowned Pepsi Food Truck takes centre stage at the historic Naval Dock in Port Royal.

Featured on his menu for this family-oriented affair are:

• Glazed Chicken Wings with Pepsi Tamarind Sauce

• Beer-Battered Crispy Fish Sticks with Herb Lemon Aioli

• Spicy Cooked Beef Tacos with Pico de Gallo and Pineapple Jerk Salsa

• Jamdung Conch Fritters

• Coconut Spiced Bammy Sticks

• Herb-buttered garlic and Parmesan Rolls

Yanique Dawkins, brand coordinator for Pepsi-Cola Jamaica, expressed her enthusiasm. “Pepsi-Cola is proud to be a part of this event to share the joy of Pepsi with everyone in attendance. Our commitment to supporting and celebrating Jamaican food culture remains unwavering,” she said.

With over 50 vendors confirmed for this year’s festival, including culinary gems like Pebble’s Pastries, Plantation Smokehouse, Shawarma Shack, and Taco Spot Jamaica, Festival Director Alicia Bogues ensures an exceptional culinary experience for all attendees.

Bogues shared, “With our vendors, including mixologists, restaurants and caterers, coming together, this year’s Meet Street line-up promises to be one of the best yet, showcasing the vibrant and dynamic culinary landscape of Jamaica.”
